Alex Phillips is the Managing Director of UMass Amherst Global, which is dedicated to sharing the UMass experience worldwide. Before joining Shorelight, he served as an assistant provost, senior lecturer at UMass Amherst, and also as the director of assessment and curriculum development at the Commonwealth Honors College. He has served as a certified site visitor for the National Collegiate Honors Society, and has years of experience in higher education administration. He has presented on topics such as the future of the liberal arts and “assessment as storytelling.”
Alex holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s of fine arts from UMass Amherst. His current academic interests include the history of American higher education and the globalization of knowledge. He has also published widely in his academic field of poetry, including in Poetry magazine, and American Life in Poetry.

Professor Parimal H. Vyas is a Vice-Chancellor of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda [MSU] Gujarat w.e.f. 11th February, 2016. Earlier, Professor Vyas served as Acting Vice-Chancellor, and the Pro Vice-Chancellor, MSU. Professor Vyas is an Alumnus of Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA). Ms. Farheen Hassan is currently working as Director, BBA program & Dept Head, Management and HRM, Faculty of Business Administration; In addition, as Additional Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC); (World Bank-HEQEP project, UGC and MoE in Bangladesh).
She is an outcome based educator of Business Administration with 20 years of teaching and consulting experiences with organizations in education, NGO & development and service sector. Dr. Md Mahfuzur Rahman is currently working at the Department of Finance and Banking, University of Malaya (UM). Presently, he is also serving as a visiting Professor at Management & Science University (MSU). His research interests are in the area of investment behavior, financial decision makings, and financial risk management. He studies the relevance of psychological biases in individual investment behaviour. He models behavioral factors in investigating financial decision making, financial risk tolerance, and portfolio diversification. He has published about 30 research papers in local and international journal. He has attended international conferences in Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan, Bangladesh, and Malaysia. Dr. Mahfuzur gave keynote speech at Taiwan, Bangladesh, and Malaysia. He is also a reviewer of several ISI and Scopus indexed journal.
He headed the Bangladesh Bank between 1998 and 2001. Founding Vice-Chancellor of East West University and at present Chairperson, Board of Trustees EWU. He served as the Personal Secretary to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman from 1973 to 1975. He was also a member of Bangladesh’s first Planning Commission. He is selected as the as the member of the International Civil Service Commission (ICSC), an independent expert body established by the United Nations General Assembly, for a four-year term starting from January 1, 2017 .

Dr. Manjunatha, BE (Mechanical) First Class with Distinction, M.Tech (Production Engineering & Systems Technology) First Class with Distinction, MIE, PhD (Integration of Logistics model and SAP R/3 System in Lean Manufacturing), is the Fellow Member of The Institution of Engineers (India)-IEI. He is an ACADEMIC SENATE member of Visvesvaraya Technological University.
His area of teaching and research includes, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, General Management, Strategic Management, Entrepreneurship and Soft Skills. Prior to the present assignment, he was working with the Ministry of Manpower, Sultanate of Oman, as Faculty-Business Studies.
