Dr S Pratap Reddy, born 1944, rose from a humble middle class farming community of Telangana to become a respectable teacher in management at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – Hyderabad. Starting as a lecturer, he progressed on his career as a professor eventually adorning ‘Board of Management Studies’ as its chairman. Discipline, Diligence, Dharma are the qualities he stood by throughout his life. Dr Reddy plunged into the famous agitations such as Mulki agitation of 1968 and Separate Telangana agitation of 1969 for which he was incarcerated.
After teaching for 25 years at JNTU-Hyderabad, he took voluntary retirement and founded Dhruva College of Management – India’s first not-for-profit Business School.
